re birth of a genius creator destroyer
The hour went past very quickly.
Sam just stayed inside the divine dimension. So, he spent almost ten hours in there. He had one of the live water creatures inside. He performed various tests on it.
He collected its blood samples, genetic material and put it through various tests. By now, he has done these kinds of tests way too many times and he had the apparatus ready. So, he managed to get most of the information.
One of the major revelations he has is that this creature is nothing but a genetic mutation gone wrong. The guy who performed the experiment seemed to have tried to create a mutation, which is very close to the transformation.
Just like the Lycans, Giants and the shapeshifters Sam has worked with and experimented with before.
But it missed one key element. The transformation gene. Essentially, the transformation gene acts as a bridge as well as a separator for the human gene and the mutation gene. For example, this gene separates the wolf gene and the human gene in a lycan, but still creates a bond.
When a transformation is triggered, it helps them merge together.
Currently, the transformation genes created by Sam serve this purpose as well. However, in the Lycans and Giants, this transformation gene has another important function, which is to allow the separation of the genes one again and allow the form to return to its original shape. Sam hasn't worked too much on this.
Because the surgeries he performed on Stone and the three Dark prince candidates, needed the permanent transformation.
He never needed the reverse transformation and he didn't work too much on it as well.
Anyway, the transformation that these humans underwent is relatively simple. The abominations created their own genes with some weird experiment with the genes of the beasts. They injected it into themselves with it and they turned into these abominations. Because of the lack of the transformation gene, and their lack of enough knowledge and experience in genetic engineering, they messed and triggered a permanent transformation. These new genes combined with the old genes created a weird mutation that changed them as creatures on a fundamental level.
Now they are no longer humans. There is no complete human gene. He could barely find any remnants of it.
He did think of ways to turn them back to normal. Usually, he would have opted for some virus or bacteria specially programmed to destroy those special genes. But in the current state if they tried that, then the creatures will die.
The other method is using the transformation gene on them. But this time to try and use a human gene to try a permanent transformation. But this appeared even more troublesome as he did some calculations.
When he made permanent changes on Stone and the prince candidates, he was still keeping the human gene as the fundamental and base gene.
He was also only doing a partial transformation in the body. He is not changing the complete genetic formula but was only making some minor and micro modifications.
But now, he has to make a complete body transformation and even if he did, there will be one change that he cannot bring back.
The brain. From all the heads that Sam collected he repeatedly checked their brains. The shape and structure is still very similar to that of a human's. And he noticed that it is basically fried. There are only instincts left in there.
No memories, habits or anything else. He even checked for the soul and he realized that the souls seemed to have collapsed. Their souls are shattered are basically very similar to a stray ghost that purely drives on instincts.
That means, they are irredeemable. At least with Sam's current expertise and research.
Then there is only one way to deal with them. To kill them all.
He had a few plans on his mind when he came out of the divine dimension and went to meet Naila.
"What did they say?"
"They are asking to speak to you?"
"That is it? They didn't reveal any inclinations?"
"Not really. They are interested in the weapons that you have. And they seemed to have some counter offers."
"You said there are five other settlements apart from yours, right?"
"Yes."
"How big are they exactly?"
"One is a little bigger than ours. Two are double the size of ours. One is a bit bigger. And the final one is a lot bigger.
I do have some stats on their population and defensive measures, but I don't believe what I have is accurate based on how cautious each of us are."
"I guess, when the three strongest beings betrayed their own race, you guys kind of lost the sense to trust each other. A natural response I suppose.
But I really wish they had reached a conclusion. This is taking way too much time." "You haven't even been here for a few hours. And that is a few hours too many. To be honest, the only reason I came here is because I was interested by the current state of your world. I have much bigger worlds to go after and much more ambitious dreams to shatter.
Now, let's just go and get this over with."
"Soon, Sam is in a room with five projected images with Naila standing beside him.
I am Sam. The one Naila mentioned. Please tell me, what do you want?"
Sam said while sizing them up. The one is the center is the head of the largest settlement. His name is Ronx. A man built like a bear with big and muscled body. There is another woman. Much younger and better looking than Naila.
She is Triala. The leader of the second largest settlement. The remaining three are all men. Their heads names are Brin, Neo and Mac.
Ronx replied.
"We have seen the ability of your weapon and we very much want it. But you are asking something impossible in return. All these years, we have been oppressed by these abominations and now you are offering a method to free ourselves, but you are asking us to
just change our oppressor.
We cannot become your servants."
"But what I suggested is not exactly considered a strict servitude. Sure there would be some orders that you might have to follow. But that is all."
"You might say that now. But we cannot trust you. You don't even belong to this world."
"Then what do you suggest?"
"If you really have such good intentions for our world at your head, why don't you prove it to us? Trust us and lend those weapons for us now. Once we free ourselves from this oppression, then we promise you that we will pay you back with the resources that we get back from our
lands."
Sam sighed and turned to Naila.
"You can cut his communication off. I am not dealing with him anymore."
Naila was stunned and hesitated. Looking at her, Sam continued.
"You can decide now Naila. Him or me. But do remember that, only one of us have shown at
least a glimpse of possibility to push these creatures back."
"What they hell are you saying..." Ronx got angry and was about to say something. But Naila gritted her teeth and shut the communication with the Ronx' settlement.
Sam turned to the remaining four.
"Please, do you have any questions?"
There is no answer. Just utter silence.
At the same time as if on cue, three men immediately cut the communication. Naila gritted
her teeth again, but she took a deep breath trying to figure out the situation.
"What about you?"
"I am curious."
"About?" "The fact that you are weaker than me, but you still talk way too big for your level. How are
you so confident that you can help us deal with this crisis?
This is an existential threat.
Is the external world that powerful that even a person of your level can carry means to solve
these kinds of threats?"
"External world is very powerful. But I can't say much about my peers. But I can assure you, if
I can't do it, none of them can. And I can confidently say that I do carry the means to do it.
Anyway, you still haven't answered."
"Well, then here is my counter offer. Your peers that you spoke of. I believe I have the location
of one of them.
In the forest nearest to my settlement. There is a disturbance and our recon found a human fighting with swarms of land abomination lackeys.
And I am willing not just trade that person in, but will agree to all your conditions and more.
But you have to prove yourself first."
"Great, another test." Sam said sarcasm apparent in his tone.
"This won't be the same as Naila's test. It just proved your allegiance. But what I want is a
proof of your capability.
Resolve the immediate crisis that is being faced by Naila's settlement. Then I will agree and
do whatever you say."
