Culpables years later
Noah
It was the first time in a long time that I slept deeply. I turned to Nick's side of the bed and opened my eyes briefly. But only Andy was there and there was no sign of his dad. I touched the spot where he was supposed to be sleeping, but his side was cold. Confused, I got up and pulled a long sweater over it. Half asleep, I went down the stairs and heard voices. At this time of day? Was Nick on the phone or did he have visitors? They came from the kitchen. I followed the noise quietly and saw Nick making tea and his mother sitting opposite him. Anabell was the first to notice me and stood up to hug me. "Hello Noah. I hope we didn't wake you." Shaking my head, I smiled and suddenly she stroked my round belly.
"How's the little one?" She really admired my belly and was completely blown away. "It's okay." We sat down at the kitchen counter and Nick poured me my favorite tea. My beloved Swedish blueberry. Nick sat down with us and seemed to wait until I asked what was going on. "What brings us your late visit? Are you alright?"
She drank her tea and as she did so I saw a large travel bag next to the kitchen. "I broke up with my boyfriend. We had an argument and I had to get out of there. I didn't want to be alone, so I thought I could come to you. Maybe I can help you with Andy or around the house? Then you can concentrate on work and yourselves. Just for a week or so? Is that okay? By the way, I got into the house using your spare key. I didn't want to wake you up. But my son almost killed me." Confused, I looked at Nick, who was looking into his cup. I knew that Nick didn't necessarily have a problem with letting his mother live with us for a while. "Sure. I or we wouldn't have a problem with that. Besides, Andrew would be happy to spend time with his grandma." She took her heart and thanked us warmly. We sat for a while and drank our tea until Nick took her things up to the guest room and showed her her room. I wished her goodnight and stayed behind in the kitchen. I felt sorry for Anabelle and her relationship.
Whenever I hear from friends or acquaintances that they have split up, I always think of Nick's and my split. So I can hardly imagine the pain they are going through. But sometimes people have to split up in order to find each other again. "Is it really okay for you that my mum stays here for a while?" Nick stood next to me and gently stroked my stomach. "Yes, I feel bad for your mum. The two of them were so happy and suddenly it's over." He didn't say it out loud, but I could see that he was also thinking about our separation. "I know. Come on, let's go to bed. You need rest and so do I." I sighed and looked at him with puppy eyes. "I can't manage the stairs with my poor swollen, painful feet." He grinned mischievously at me and suddenly he was carrying me bridal style up the stairs to the bedroom.
"I have a deja vu of our wedding night, Mr. Leister." He kissed my neck and carefully lowered me into our bed. "I know. That was a beautiful long night full of love and tenderness. But we have to sleep, Freckles."
The next morning I was woken up by my hot husband, who kissed my neck. "Good morning, Freckles. Did you sleep well?" I exposed my neck for him so he could kiss me better. But I couldn't answer him because my moans were too loud. My hands grabbed his hair and pulled him closer to me. "How are you? Does your head still hurt?" Nick groaned and pushed my pajamas up a little higher, exposing my stomach to him. "Better. But never underestimate painkillers." Giggling, I traced his abdominal muscles and felt how fast his heart started to beat. "Do you know what the good thing is that my mum is here? She looks after Andy and can help you around the house. But the big bonus is that we have time for both of us." He kissed my stomach and pulled down my trousers and underwear. "What's going on? Aren't we both technically on bed rest?" He shook his head and started kissing my thighs. My moans got louder and I noticed how wet I was getting. All that could be heard was my moans and Nick's loud kisses on my thighs. "You have to be quiet, darling. The others are downstairs and if you want me to satisfy you, you have to be quiet."
I sank further into the pillows and raised my pelvis into Nick's face. He should finally do it right. "Nick, please." I begged him, but he played with me. I hated it. "Freckles. You like that, don't you?" My eyes found his and I saw pure lust in his eyes. Then suddenly his mouth was on my most sensitive spot. At first he licked me slowly around my bud. Then he got faster and bit lightly on my clitoris. It was all too much for me. I was close to coming, but Nick didn't let me come. Instead, he tortured me more and more. He now used his fingers and kissed my stomach. I angrily grabbed his hair and pulled him towards me. "Nick, I can't do this anymore. Please let me come." He seemed to listen to my begging. After about half an hour we were downstairs in the kitchen with our son and Nick's mother. We should have been here earlier, but we were taking a shower and had a quickie in the shower.
The kitchen smelled delicious of eggs and bacon. "That smells good, Anabelle." She laughed and put Andrew's breakfast plate in front of him. "I have to thank you somehow for letting me stay here." "I like it when Grandma is here." So Andrew liked it too.
We sat down at the table and she served us food. "I remember when you were little, Nick, and I always made you breakfast in the morning. You played with the food more than you ate." I smiled and looked at Nick, who just raised his eyebrows. "Playing with the food is true. But Petra and Martin always made me food." I took a deep breath and looked at Nick's mum. She tried to smile it away, but you could see behind her facade. Nick didn't mean it in a bad way, but it was the truth. He hated it when people pretended to be someone they weren't. "The food tastes really good. Thank you for breakfast." That was my attempt to lighten the mood. She nodded gratefully and turned her attention to the stove. I gave Nick a look that meant is everything okay? But he blocked it. He still had problems with his mother, who was never there. This could be an interesting time for us now. So breakfast was quiet. Andrew had arranged to go to the park with Anabelle. So Nick and I stayed behind.
