Chapter 6026, Dao Oath

Chapter 6026, Dao Oath

Chapter 6026, Dao Oath

Author: Silavin

Yang Ji and Yang Xu looked at each other, puzzled by the sight. After all, the structure of this thatched house was really familiar. Although it was of a different colour, there was no mistaking it. This was almost a carbon copy of the small house their Uncle Eleven lives in.

Naturally, the twins were not dense enough to fail to notice that there must have been some background story to this. After all, were there really such coincidences in this world?

Mo Na Ye was respectful when he approached the thatched house. Even with someone of his strength, he would try his best to not make a sound. Even in front of the door, he would not knock. Instead, he would just kneel and wait for a response from inside.

Mo Na Ye knew that this was the courtesy expected of his kind in front of the Holy One. So, he did not expect the same from the kids. Yet, without him doing anything, Yang Xu took the lead and followed what he did, with Yang Ji also doing the same.

This one display made Mo Na Ye praise them in his heart. Though he knew Humans were sly, the gesture of them willingly kneeling to a potential enemy could not be taken lightly. At the very least, from what he remembers, Yang Kai, the Human he interacted with the most, was so prideful he would never kneel to anyone.

In truth, this was just a misconception which Yang Xu had made use of, which was more effective than she thought. After all, she and her Brother would kneel down whenever they got punished. How was this much of a difference?

Either way, for the twins, the wait was certainly not long. Almost as soon as their knees touched the ground, the door opened and a terrifying pressure emerged from within.

This pressure was incomparable to the one Mo Na Ye gave out. However, its aura also felt familiar at the same time.

A familiar child-like voice rang out, “Come in.”

“Yes.” Mo Na Ye placed his arm on his chest as he stood up, and the twins just followed along and walked behind him till they were inside of the thatched house.

The inside and outside were basically sights they had seen before. At this point, they were not even surprised. The only oddity, which caught their eye was what seemed to be another Uncle Eleven.

This ‘Uncle Eleven’ technically did not have feet, as his legs were attached to the ground. He was also completely black with a tint of purple. In terms of facial features and stature, he was basically the same as the one they knew.

Mo spoke up, welcoming his guests. “Welcome to my humble abode. It has been awhile since I last saw Humans.”

The Mo that they were speaking to seemed to have matured a lot compared to stories they heard of him. At least, he was far from what their Uncle Eleven had described him to be.

Instead of the twins speaking up to greet him back, Mo Na Ye was the one to do their introduction. “Your Holy One, this is Yang Ji and this is Yang Xu. They are children of Yang Kai, and have been brought here by your other half.”

Mo, already knowing this, just raised a hand as he gave a nod and asked the twins directly. “Just what are you two?”

This question had naturally confused the twins. How were they going to answer this?

Seeming to notice their confusion, Mo further elaborated. “My Black Ink Strength is not something Ninth-Order Masters can easily resist. My Black Ink Strength definitely still affects you two, but what are you two compared to those in the Ninth-Order Open Heaven Realm? How are you able to resist its influence so easily?”

This was another question that the twins also did not know how to answer. Was it their constitution? Or, was their Qi just different?

Yang Ji pondered for a moment, and gave an unconvincing, “I think it’s because of our pure Bloodlines.”

Mo, obviously well experienced, could tell that there was more to the story. However, if the children did not want to say it, he had no wish to force it out of them. After all, such an ability might not be replicable.

After answering, Yang Ji felt as though it was their turn to ask. So, he posed this question to Mo, “Why did you want to see us, resorting to separating us from Uncle Eleven?”

This was basically the same question he had asked Mo Na Ye – ‘why did you kidnap us’.

Mo was frank and open, not hiding anything from them. “To take in as hostages, also, to seek your help.”

“Help?” Both Yang Ji and Yang Xu exclaimed, almost unable to believe their ears. After all, why would this almighty being, maybe second only to their Father, be asking them for help?

Mo continued to explain. “Yes, I need the assistance of those who will not be corrupted by my Black Ink Strength and can use Purifying Light. Moreover, these people must be weak enough to not be detected as a threat.”

Yang Xu was the one to ask this time. “In that case, why not take Uncle Eleven with us?”

“It is not yet time to meet him.”

“Not yet time?” The twins simultaneously asked.

“I can even do a Dao Oath right now, that I, Mo, will meet him once you help me with my troubles.” Mo said, as if already prepared for this. “There, is this enough to satisfy you two?”

(Silavin: I’m going to now use he for Mo instead of the previous ‘it’. There is a reason for this but I won’t get to it right now.)

Chapter 6026 – Help Me Devour

Yang Ji and Yang Xu were both confused by this sudden request. After all, this Mo was vastly different from the stories told about him. In fact, this made them feel even more unnerved, since the being in front of them was clearly far more intelligent that what they were led to believe.

At the same time, at Mo’s level of cultivation. Rather, his own existential difference, would Dao Oaths really work on him?

Regardless, they were already in this mess. Refusing would do them no good at this point. If they showed to be too on guard, the other party would react in the same manner. Right now, having more leeway to source for information was the best thing they could do.

Yang Ji was quicker in responding, “That’s fine, but you haven’t even said what you need us to do?”

“It’s actually quite simple, really. I need you to help me collect other pieces of me.” Mo said, as he awaited their next question.

“Other pieces of you?” The twins both cutely tilted their heads and wondered what he was talking about. They had not heard of there being other ‘Mo’s in existence.

This time, it was Mo Na Ye who stepped up to explain. And, as though assisting him, the wall next to Mo Na Ye started to deform to depict a landscape on it.

Due to the lack of light, the landscape had varying gradients, structures and surfaces to depict different areas. However, such details were still in the minority. Within the frame, most of it was a monotonous flat black, with two large figures in them. It was only one particular area that clearly showed mountains and rivers, which was clearly the area they were in right now.

In this well-defined region, there was also another large figure, but it was Humanoid in shape unlike the other two large figures.

Mo Na Ye pointed to this singular figure and said, just as the twins had guessed, “We are currently here. What we require of you is to help us claim these other two territories. These two figures are the other Holy Ones.”

It seemed like even if they were enemies, Mo Na Ye still felt the need to refer to them as ‘Holy Ones’.

Yang Xu questioned, “Wait. In the first place, why do you need us for this? Both of you are much stronger than us. There is no way for us to beat the other ‘yous’”

Mo Na Ye tried to dispel her worries. “This is not about strength. Rather, it is about compatibility. In fact, right now, as things stand, we have lost a lot of our men and territory. We basically see no way to turn this around.”

Mo further added. “The other pieces of me have gotten stronger. It is unfortunate but I am not their match. Their influence and power would continue to grow if they devour more of my territory. I don’t even know how many other ‘me’s they have devoured to get this strong. So, for you two, you do not need to engage with them directly. Your job is to make it easier for me to devour their territories.”

“How are we supposed to make it easier for you? Why have you not asked my Father to help you instead?  Yang Xu continued to question.

Once Mo Na Ye heard this, he chuckled. “Even if we wanted to, we dared not. Though at this point, we might not necessarily be enemies, he is too much of a risk to make contact with…”

“As for how you are going to make it easier for us, it is mainly the ability to use Purifying Light. With it, you would be able to soften up certain areas for us to take over.”

The twins looked at each other and they both gave a nod. Yang Ji stepped forward to agree to help. “In that case, we’ll help out. But, as you know, we actually need these Crystals to activate Purifying Light. Once we run out…”

Mo Na Ye shook his head, and frankly stated. “I’m afraid that we would not be able to help you replenish your stockpile when you run out. Over here, we do not have enough materials to even make more powerful Black Ink Clansmen. We certainly do not have such powerful Crystals.”

Yang Ji’s eyes narrowed and he was about to say something. However, Yang Xu cut in and asked instead. “In that case, will we be allowed to go back to replenish our supplies?”

This was the biggest thing on their minds. They needed to gauge how opposed these two were of them heading back home

Mo gave a nod and Mo Na Ye stated, “In that case, you are free to go back and replenish your supplies.”

Yang Ji and Yang Xu both had loosened their expressions for a moment as this response was not something that they had expected in a million years. This micro-expression was easily caught onto by Mo Na Ye as he chuckled and further stated. “Even if I called you hostages before, do you two really expect us to keep you here forever? Yang Kai would definitely come here with a vengeance. Do you think we can afford to face his wrath when our situation is as such where we can run away now?”

“Besides, even if we do nothing, you will come back on your own.” Mo Na Ye smirked, which made the twins further questioned. “What do you mean?”

This time, it was Mo who answered them. He spoke as though this matter was of heavy importance to him. “If our side loses in this conflict, and I get devoured, the other two pieces of me will definitely be hostile against the Human Race. After all, they are the corrupted Source pieces, which have lost their sanity.”

“I do not know about the future, but you would be having another enemy in your backyard. If one day, one of them manages to reach the World Creation Realm, I believe that would spell the start of another major war. A second war with the Black Ink Clan.”

“Even if they are corrupted, they are not fools. They will definitely avoid attacking your Human Race as long as your Father is there. However, the moment he is gone, or they get strong enough to contend with him, that would be the start of another war.”

“And, your Father will certainly leave one day. For, this plane is too small for him. He would need to go to the *%$#@*!!!”
