My bestie Lilly and I jump on my bed, laughing and squealing like little girls as we bounce around.

"Aqua!" laughs Lilly as I slip off the bed and land on my knees on the floor.

I giggle and get back up again. "Wanna do something?" I ask her.

"Sure. Like what?"

"Dunno."

We sit cross legged on my bed. "How bout homework?" Lilly says suddenly.

My hand flies to my mouth. "OMGGGGG... I completely forgot." I laugh slightly, remembering the reason Lilly is at my house in the first place.

"So that's a yes then?" Lilly asks, wiping her wild blonde hair from her deep brown eyes.

"Guess so!"

I grab my books from the floor and spread them out around the bed, opening to a page in my maths assignment and chucking Lilly my English book so that she can help me finish my essay.

Suddenly, after about 10 minutes, my mum calls up the stairs "Girls! Lilly's mum's here!"

"Shoot." I say, folding over the maths book and throwing it on the floor again.

"Well, tomorrow?"

"Yep. See you at school!"

"Bye girlfriend." she says, kissing me on the cheek. I turn my head so it's a full frontal kiss on the lips. She smiles as we pull away.

"Bye Lilly." I whisper as she walks out the door and I hear her getting into her mum's car.

You see, the thing is, Lilly and I have a secret. We're both lesbians. We're not together... just best friends. But it's still fun. And we haven't told our parents. Now, when I say we're not together, I don't mean completely. We still kiss all the time, but we're not a thing. We never do anything more than kiss. It's just that we're 15, and we're young, and we want some fun. That's it. But somehow, I always feel like we could be more. And I get the feeling that Lilly does too, the way she blushes and giggles whenever I get a little closer than normal. I've always felt like mentioning it to Lilly, that maybe we could actually make it work, but I don't think it's the right time. At least, not yet.
